Nintendo names new US execs
Nintendo names new US execs-November 2024
Nov 26, 2024 11:56 PM

With this year's high-profile departures of George Harrison, Perrin Kaplan, and Beth Llewellyn, Nintendo of America has some space to fill in its executive directory. The company today announced that two open slots have been claimed. Cammie Dunaway has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing, and Shigeyuki Takahashi will come onboard as executive vice president, special assignment.

Dunaway is taking on the sales and marketing role that was vacated by current NOA president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime when he took the reins of the company in May of last year. She will be responsible for all Nintendo sales and marketing in the US, Canada, and Latin America, and will report directly to Fils-Aime himself. Dunaway has more than two decades of experience and numerous accolades in marketing, most recently as chief marketing officer for Yahoo!

Currently the president of Nintendo Research, Inc., Takahashi has been responsible for assessing the company's future business expansion in North America. In his new role reporting to NOA CEO and chairman Tatsumi Kimishima, Takahashi will "conduct special research activities and provide perspective to the sales and marketing department using his accumulated knowledge."

Dunaway takes over the sales and marketing operations November 5, whereas Takahashi assumes his new role November 1.
