TOKYO--Nintendo announced today that it will launch a nationwide Japanese tour, Nintendo World Touch! DS, to promote its upcoming dual-screen handheld. Starting on November 3, Nintendo will tour through five major cities to let gamers get their hands on the Nintendo DS, which is expected to be released within the year in both the US and Japan.
The World Touch tour will be the first time that the Japanese public will get the chance to play the Nintendo DS. In addition, visitors will get their hands on upcoming games for the Game Boy Advance and GameCube. In total, a whopping 80 games will be on exhibit during the tour.
Nintendo World Touch! DS will tour across Japan from the west to the east, starting in Nagoya prefecture on November 3, then moving on to Osaka on November 7, Tokyo on November 13 and 14, Sapporo on November 23, and finally Fukuoka on November 28. The show will run from 9am to 4pm each day, and admission is free.
