TOKYO--Today Nintendo revealed to Japanese site Mainichi Interactive that it is considering the release of another batch of Famicom Mini games for the Game Boy Advance. While the company previously said it had ended the series with the release of its third lineup earlier this month, it also commented that "[we] believe that it is the responsibility of a company to answer to the needs of the customer if they have a demand."
Known as the Classic NES series in North America, the Famicom Mini games are ports of classic Famicom (NES) titles. The nostalgic series has been a hot-selling product for Nintendo, which originally planned to release only one group of games in February. As of July, the Famicom Mini series had sold an estimated total of 2.7 million copies.
