Martin Scorsese has partnered with Apple to finance and produce the new movie Killers of the Flower Moon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Scorsese originally brought the movie to Netflix--which financed his extremely expensive mobster movie The Irishman--but Apple's bid apparently came in higher.

　　The report says Netflix was ready to sign Killers of the Flower Moon for $215 million, while MGM was also said to be involved in the bidding process for an undisclosed sum

　　The final price paid by Apple for Killers of the Flower Moon was not revealed in the report. Apple will finance the movie, while Paramount (which is owned by GameSpot parent company ViacomCBS) will distribute it.

　　Killers of the Flower Moon is set in 1920s Oklahoma during a time when the Osage Nation Native American tribe found oil under their homeland. After this discovery, high-ranking members of the Native American group were murdered one by one. The story is based on real events, and is adapted by Eric Roth from the book by David Grann.

　　Killers of the Flower Moon will star Scorsese's frequent collaborators, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, and each will reportedly be paid a huge fee. DiCaprio is known to get $20 million per movie, while Scorsese is paid around the same per movie, according to THR. De Niro, meanwhile, will be paid in the area of $15 million for Killers of the Flower Moon, according to the report.
