The latest generation of 3D cards has bucked the pricing trend of recent years and, while performance is certainly faster than ever, gamers have been forced to pay well above $300 for the latest in hardware. As Well Rounded revealed this morning, Nvidia plans to announce a value-priced graphics chip at the end of June that will offer performance comparable to the current GeForce line.
Nvidia confirmed for GameSpot that it will soon be launching a new product. Nvidia typically arranges to have products featuring their chips ship soon after launch, so this may add a new option for graphics shoppers this summer.
