It's been a rough sophomore year for the kids of Riverdale, but none more so than Archie Andrews (KJ Apa). After joining the mob to impress his girlfriend's dad and having said dad frame him for murder, Archie is headed to the slammer.

　　It's not ending there, though. As a new trailer for the upcoming Season 3 of Riverdale shows, Archie is making more pretty terrible decisions. The latest comes while he's behind bars, as the new look at the season shows him sporting some new ink on his shoulder. That's a Southside Serpents tattoo Archie has.

　　What does this new ink mean? Given that Archie seems like the last guy who would ever ride a motorcycle, chances are it's for protection in jail. After all, his best friend is the leader of the Serpents now and if there's anyone you want on your side when you're locked up, it's an outlaw biker gang.

　　Still, this is the latest in a string of bizarre character turns for Archie that have taken him from being just a simple teenager to one of the most conflicted characters on TV. In the span of a single school year he had an affair with a teacher, started a music career, was responsible for the first breakup of Josie and the Pussycats, made the football team, believed he was helping the FBI bring down the mob, instead joined the mob, started a shirtless vigilante group, and is facing murder charges because he tried to quit the mob. Oh, and he probably went to class at some point--maybe. Now he can add "joined a biker gang" to his already ridiculous resume.

　　At least the trailer shows him driving around with his friends and taking a trip to the local swimming hole, so perhaps he'll actually get a break at some point in Season 3. Obviously he--and everyone else--is going to need it, between the cult, the giant tree monsters, the family drama, and everything else on display in this new trailer.
