New Pokemon Game For US
New Pokemon Game For US-November 2024
Nov 14, 2024 9:19 PM

Do you love Pokemon? How much of a Poke-freak are you? Have you ever found yourself talking to your Pikachu? If so, Nintendo might just have the perfect solution for you - Pikachu Genki Dechu, a game in which you interact with a virtual Pikachu. Talk kindly to him and he'll laugh, talk about the PlayStation and he'll get mad. No matter what the case, Nintendo of America is expecting that next year you'll indeed be talking to your Pikachu. Today, GameSpot News confirmed that the Pikachu Genki Dechu is coming to the US.

Released about a year ago in Japan, Pikachu Genki Dechu (the name will, of course, change for the US) is a virtual pet game for the Nintendo 64 similar to Sega's Seaman for the Dreamcast. In fact, Seaman has borrowed more than a few elements from Pikachu Genki Dechu (even the microphone that attaches to the controller looks very similar). The premise of the game is simple: Using a Nintendo 64 microphone peripheral, you talk with your Pikachu and tell him things to do, as well as help him interact with other Pokemon.

As you'll notice in our accompanying screenshots, Pikachu Genki Dechu features some nifty graphics that look more detailed than those of Pokemon Snap. Also, you'll see some of the many areas that Pikachu can explore, including beaches, fields, forests, and more. The Pokemon characters look really nice and animate well.

Pikachu Genki Dechu for the Nintendo 64 currently carries no US release date, as Nintendo has yet to officially announce the title. The most likely scenario is for the game to release in the US sometime after March, which is when Pokemon Stadium releases. Translating Pikachu Genki Dechu from Japanese to English is already well underway, so it shouldn't be too far from getting into the hands of gamers. We'll keep you posted on any new details we may hear, including the game's US name. For now, make sure to take a look at all the screens we've put together.
