Eidos Interactive has released new screenshots from Deus Ex for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game blends first-person shooter gameplay with RPG-style character development. The result is a product that received considerable critical acclaim when it was originally released on the PC and is one of the growing number of highly anticipated PS2 games. Although the gameplay and story will remain essentially the same as the PC original, the PlayStation 2 version does include a new interface and a new control scheme designed to match the PS2 controller. A new auto-targeting feature is also being implemented in the game.
Deux Ex is coming along rather nicely and is scheduled to ship in the third quarter of this year.
