GameSpot has received a new batch of screenshots from 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker for the Sony PlayStation 2. Originally developed by Sega, the game is being converted over to the PlayStation 2 by Acclaim's Cheltenham Studios. The PS2 version is based closely on the Dreamcast original, and most of the specific enhancements will be in the graphics department. In the game, players must deliver cargo to a variety of locations in North America. After selecting one of five truckers, players must select a specific job and deliver the cargo through highways teeming with traffic and rival truckers. After each delivery is completed, the player is awarded money based on the cargo, time, and whether the rival trucker was defeated.
The PS2 version of 18 Wheeler: American Pro Trucker is currently in the final stages of development and will be released at the end of October for the console.
