Last week, Microsoft and GameSpot gave you the chance to choose the name of two of the seven new mechs that will be introduced in MechWarrior 4: Vengeance. The two names chosen were Chimera, for the 40-ton mech, and Thanatos, for the heavy class 75-ton mech. Even though concept sketches and early renders of the two mechs were provided by Microsoft, in-game screenshots remained elusive - until today.
Attached to this story are the first images of Chimera and Thanatos, both of which will be fully playable once MechWarrior 4: Vengeance is released later this year. In addition to these two mechs, Microsoft and FASA will be adding five other lumbering war machines that have never before been seen in the BattleTech universe. GameSpot will bring you more information regarding this game as its release date approaches.
