Hudson has given us a new look at the next installment in the Bomberman series on the Nintendo 64, Baku Bomberman 2 (to be called Bomberman 64 2 in the US). The game is currently 85-percent complete, and will hit stores in Japan this December.
This time around, Nintendo 64 players can look forward to new sets of bombs to take out enemies with: fire bombs (a typical explosive to inflict harm on enemies or break open areas); water bombs (to pass through fire areas); and earth bombs (to cause mini-earthquakes).
Baku Bomberman 2 will offer a story mode (which has two-player play, or a computer-controlled second player) and a survival mode, at the start. However, once you complete the story mode you'll be able to play through a royal battle mode, as well as a time-attack mode. As for multiplayer modes, you'll have both a two- and four-player option available.
Baku Bomberman 2 will release on December 3 in Japan for 6800 yen (US$64). A US version to be published by Nintendo is already being planned for next year.
