Microsoft might very well have teased a Forza Motorsport Summer release on Twitter earlier today.
The new Forza, or Forza Motorsport 8, as some call it, from developer Turn 10 Studios, will be a soft reboot for the franchise. As covered last month, the racer is currently in the polishing phase and will be released later this year. The highly-anticipated game was first slated for a release this spring, but back in January of this year, it became clear that this release window was no longer a lock.
So, aside from knowing that it releases somewhere this year, we don't have an actual release frame for Turn 10's new Forza - until today. At least, that's what might be discerned from a recent tweet from the official Microsoft Game Dev Twitter account earlier today. Yesterday, the head of the Turn 10 Studios, Alan Hartman, took to Twitter to show the brand-new Ford GT. In the tweet, Hartman wrote "Come on sunshine!!", accompanied by the #Forza tag.

More interestingly, however, is the response from the Microsoft Game Dev account, which replied with, what looks like, a tease for a summer release in the coming months. "Who else is ready for summer", the tweet from the account reads.
While this doesn't directly confirm that the new Forza Motorsport is indeed releasing somewhere between the end of June and the end of September, this timeframe does make sense. On the other hand, we have a few heavy hitters coming in early June in the form of Diablo IV, Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon in late August, and, of course, the highly-anticipated Starfield on September 6. As such, it's still possible that Microsoft intends to release the new Forza in late 2023.
We'll update you as soon as more information about the new Forza Motorsport for Xbox and PC comes in. For now, stay tuned and discuss this possible summer release for Turn 10's new title below.
As said, Forza Motorsport is considered to be a soft reboot for the series. The game will offer more than 500 real-world cars, dynamic weather (including track temperatures) and time of day, 20 different environments, real-time ray tracing, and car damage so detailed to include individual scratches on the bodywork.
