Daryl Welsh, group program manager at Microsoft Game Studios, yesterday confirmed in the official Links 2004 forum that the first additional course for the game will be made available via Xbox Live this week. Hawaii's Kapalua Plantation course, as designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, will be made available to players at a cost of $4.99--which includes entry into a sweepstake to win such prizes as a complete set of golf clubs or a Suunto golf watch.
Later in the same thread, Welsh goes on to state that the development team's aim is to release a new course for Links 2004 every two or three months. He added that players who purchase a course will not have to do so again when Links 2005 is released.
