For the past few weeks, Avatar: The Last Airbender has been on Netflix's Top 10 list. It has never been in the number one spot, but it is lasting a whole lot longer than other shows on the streaming service. Will it ever take the number one spot?
Last week, the Top 10 list was dominated by the final season of the original hit 13 Reasons Why. However, it's a new week, and new movies, TV shows, and original content is debuting on the streaming service, like Spike Lee's Da 5 Bloods, and that means there are going to be some major changes on Netflix's Top 10 list.
Earlier this year, Netflix allowed its subscribers to see what the rest of the world is watching with its Top 10 list. Unlike the "trending" or "popular" sections of the service, the Top 10 let's users see the actual most-watched programs. More importantly, it's consistent between users, as the trending and popular sections can change depending on where you live in the world. However, keep in mind, Netflix calculates a "view" as watching two minutes or more of a single program. Below, you'll find the Top 10 on Netflix for every day this week.
Da 5 BloodsTo kick off the week, there have been a lot of changes from last week's list. Taking the number one spot is Da 5 Bloods. Additionally, Alexa & Katie, F is for Family, and Pokemon Journeys all made the list for the first time. 13 Reasons Why dropped to number three while Space Force fell to number five. Somehow, Avatar: The Last Airbender continues to hold on as one of the most-viewed shows on the streaming service.
As for the number one spot for Monday, in GameSpot's review of Da 5 Bloods, Dan Auty said the new Spike Lee movie "works superbly as a thrilling action adventure, but it's the way it also confronts uncomfortable truths about America's past (and present) that makes it one of the director's best films."
