Gamers can now cross their own virtual Rubicon by downloading the demo of Nemesis of the Roman Empire, which premiered today on GameSpot DLX. The 150MB demo offers samples of both the single-player and multiplayer modes of the real-time strategy game, and it can also be automatically delivered to your PC via DLX's subscription service. The sequel to developer Haemimont's Celtic Kings: Rage of War, Nemesis of the Roman Empire is set during the Punic Wars, which raged from 264 to 241 BC. The conflict saw the rising empire of Rome duke it out with another Mediterranean metropolis, Carthage. The Enlight-published RTS gives gamers the opportunity to rewrite history by commanding the two city-states' legions, as well as those of two smaller realms, Gaul and Iberia.
