NBA 2K19 will once again feature a variety of color commentators to join play-by-play man Kevin Harlan. A newly released trailer confirms the return of former MVPs Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett, who have contributed to past games. But another individual you'll sometimes hear in the booth while playing 2K19 is prominent sports media member Bill Simmons.
Simmons, the former ESPN/Grantland employee and current head of website The Ringer, is among the most well-known sportswriters and podcasters in the US. The trailer above shows some behind-the-scenes recording sessions with Bryant, Garnett, and Simmons. Based on that, you can expect Simmons to bring precisely what you'd expect if you're familiar with his work.

Now Playing: NBA 2K19 - Broadcast Trailer
The trailer also affords us another opportunity to see the game in action. As with each new entry in the series, it looks absolutely gorgeous, with many of the league's biggest stars doing their thing, including cover star Giannis Antetokounmpo. We also get a glimpse of LeBron James in a Lakers jersey, something that remains a bizarre sight to me--the kind of thing you'd only see in Franchise mode after a crazy trade.
NBA 2K19 releases on September 11, but those who purchase the 20th Anniversary edition (which features LeBron on the cover) will be able to get in early, on September 7. You can expect numerous changes to MyTeam mode, among other areas of the game. For more on the game, check out our NBA 2K19 pre-order guide.
