Team Solo Mid (5-1) vs XDG (1-5)
Team Solo Mid is slowly starting to carve out their place at the top of the League Championship Series. Bjergsen leads the charge for the team, picking up Most Valuable Player two weeks in a row. His North American debut has been nothing less than phenomenal. But, sickness may stand in the way of the team this week.
Half the team is sick. Needed to end practice early so people can get more rest. Darn you first game tomorrow! @lolesports

XDG’s roleswap looked promising in their first match versus Evil Geniuses. Zuna got rolling on Olaf and made it seem like the team would hold their top three spot from last season. In the next five matches, it’s been a different story. The team is obviously lacking in synergy due to the roleswap. Something huge would have to change if they want to take down the likes of TSM.
Team Coast (2-4) vs Cloud 9 (4-1)
Also not having a great start to the LCS, is Team Coast. Their main weakness so far this season has been in the bot lane. The duo fails to hold their own in the laning phase, making the teams transition into the mid game disappointing. In addition, NintendudeX has also struggled to keep an even score or snowball Coast’s bot lane.
Despite an upset defeat at the hands of Team Dignitas, Cloud 9 is still a strong contender for the top two. The team’s superb synergy is still one of their key assets, but, Hai and Balls have improved individually since the offseason. A weak link in the team could be in the bot lane, where Sneaky and LemonNation don’t always seem to be on the same page.
Team Curse (3-3) vs Counter Logic Gaming (2-4) | Head to Head: 0-1
So far, the overhaul of Team Curse’s roster looks promising. In particular, Voyboy in the mid lane has displayed a performance similar to his top lane dominance. In the bot lane, Cop’s has shown that his exceptional performance in early Season three hasn’t been forgotten. IWillDominate also seems to be a wealth of potential, despite some mistakes along the way.
Counter Logic Gaming didn’t have the start they were hoping for. With the addition of Dexter to the team, CLG seemed poised to make their bid for a top three spot in the LCS. But, Dexter being barred entry to the US threw a wrench in those plans. HotShotGG has subbed for the team in mid, but his lack of professional experience in the mid lane has held the team back. Rumors loom that Chauster make make an appearance for the team this week.
Evil Geniuses (2-4) vs Cloud 9 (4-1)
Evil Geniuses have yet to make a splash in North America. Despite three members of the team playing together previously, their coordination towards the mid game seems to be the team’s achilles heel. In the top lane, InnoX has yet to make a meaningful impact for the team. As EG continues to play in the LCS, they will need to hope they grow as a team.
