N64 Dominates Rental Charts
N64 Dominates Rental Charts-November 2024
Nov 14, 2024 12:29 PM

Well, it had to happen sometime. Resident Evil 2, the only major contender to the N64's domination of the rental charts, has fallen from the top five, although it never quite dethroned GoldenEye - Yoshi's Story did.

Today the rental charts for last week showed up, and it's back to the N64 era, at least for now.

Yoshi's Story held tight to the number one position this week, but GoldenEye is a strong second place, with WCW vs. NWO at number three. Midway's Quake and Rampage World Tour round out the top five.

For the curious, here's the chart, courtesy of the Video Software Dealers' Association VidTrac system.

Top five renting video games for the week ending April 12, 1998 (rank, platform, weeks on the list, revenues):

  1. Yoshi's Story N64 (5) $390,1702. GoldenEye 007 N64 (33) $313,4603. WCW vs. NWO N64 (19) $237,3804. Quake N64 (6) $212,3605. Rampage World Tour N64 (7) $195,68
