I'll save you!The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) and the Entertainment Software Association of Canada (ESAC) have applauded the efforts of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, commonly referred to as Mounties, for a July 13 raid on shops selling pirated game software. According to the ESA, the Mounties seized thousands of pirated games from a trio of stores in the Markham, Ontario Pacific Mall, and arrested one person involved in the counterfeiting operation. The ESAC called for stricter penalties for game counterfeiters as a greater deterrent, noting that the Pacific Mall had stores raided in April of 2005, but criminal activity continued there regardless.
