Motorsims has announced an upcoming PC racing simulation based on the recently revived Can-Am racing division, originally made popular in the 1970's. The game is the first to be developed under the Sports Car Club of America license acquired by Motorsims earlier this year, and will feature actual chassises and engines used by the Can-Am open-cockpit/closed-wheels cars.
"Can-Am is a true fan's racing format, and we're glad to be part of the resurgence of interest in Can-Am racing,'' says Motorsims chairman and founder Bob McCarthy. "We are excited to offer a competitive online product to racing enthusiasts who have been waiting for this kind of reality-based experience."
Like its upcoming AMA Superbike, Motorsims' Can-Am will be available in a "lite" multiplayer format and a full standalone release. Look for this one sometime early next year.
