  The Pew Research Center has published a new study about technology device ownership in 2015, revealing--among other things--new statistics about who owns video game consoles today.

  According to Pew (via GamesIndustry International), 40 percent of American adults report owning a game console in the Xbox or PlayStation families, a percentage that has shown no significant change since 2010.

  Some other notable statistics from the study are shown in the image below, including that 42 percent of women report owning a gaming console, compared to 37 percent for men. In addition, people with some college experience are more likely to own a game console than those who graduated college.
