More Dragon's Dogma content teased-November 2024
Nov 16, 2024 6:39 PM

More content for Capcom's action role-playing game Dragon's Dogma appears to be in the development pipeline. Game director Hideaki Itsuno told 4Gamer (translated by Andriasang), that Capcom isn't yet finished adding to the game, which was released to a warm critical reception in May. It appears Capcom is cooking up more Dragon's Dogma content.

"I'm sure many have already cleared the game, but for Dragon's Dogma, we're continuing to prepare new play elements," he said. "It would be best if you held on to the game for a bit."

There is already a host of downloadable content available for Dragon's Dogma. Currently available add-ons include seven $1 "From a Different Sky" quests, as well as weapon, armor, and other character customization packs, selling for $2-$3 each.

Itsuno also spoke about the game's commercial success, calling Japanese reaction to Dragon's Dogma "better than expected." Last month, Capcom announced the game had shipped 1 million copies and said it plans to spin the fiction into a franchise, a point Itsuno also spoke to.

The developer teased a potential sequel, saying he would be happy to build "the next title," and will do so with enough fan support. For more on Dragon's Dogma, check out GameSpot's review.
