During Capcom's main-stage software presentation at the recent PlayStation Festival in Japan, Yoshiki Okamoto took a moment to speak about Biohazard (Resident Evil) for the PlayStation2. He said that Capcom is currently hard at work on the project, but that the company is a little confused as to how to go about it. The PlayStation2 is very powerful, and Capcom wants to best harness the power in the game. The developers are also currently figuring out if they want to use pre-rendered backgrounds or full 3D ones like Resident Evil: Code Veronica sports.
Okamoto didn't comment about when the title will be ready, but it seems doubtful that Capcom will be able to get it out before the end of this year. We'll hopefully have more details soon.
