Tecmo has announced an early August release for Monster Rancher Battle Card: Episode II for PlayStation. Included in Monster Rancher II is Tecmo¹s innovative disk-swapping technology that lets players create new game trading cards using the embedded code from any music, multimedia or game CD.

　　Monster Rancher Battle Card: Episode II is an electronic card game in which breeders engage in battles using trading cards they collect while on their journey. Up to eight players can participate in the same tournament. The player assumes the role of the main character in search of Colt, an able assistant, who vanishes to the "Paradise of Monsters" where human language is non-existent and monsters are the only inhabitants. Players must travel through a series of islands to collect all the cards that the Paradise of Monsters has to offer, engaging in battle along the way. With each encountered battle, skills improve enabling the player to reach the Master Cup. Advance through the action-packed schedule of challenging battle card tournaments to earn the coveted rank of Master Class Breeder.
