Today at MineCon in Orlando, Twitch and Mojang announced a new partnership that will bring broadcasting functionality to open-ended sandbox game Minecraft.
Twitch support will be offered on the PC and Mac versions of Minecraft, allowing users to "easily" broadcast their gameplay to their Twitch channels.
Twitch functionality will be available "soon," though no specific timing was announced.
"Expect a watershed moment for both players and spectators once the ability to easily broadcast gameplay directly to Twitch goes live," Twitch marketing VP Matthew DiPietro said.
Minecraft is not the first game to offer official Twitch support. The streaming service is currently available for games like PlanetSide 2, Trackmania 2, and Path of Exile. In addition, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will feature built-in Twitch support.
