Millionaire Still Strong
Millionaire Still Strong-September 2024
Sep 21, 2024 3:29 AM

Nearly a month after its release, Disney Interactive's Who Wants to be a Millionaire, the game fashioned on the hit TV quiz show, is still the best-selling PC game in the US, according to the PC Data top ten Hits List for the week ending December 18, 1999. Of course, Millionaire's US$19 price tag has to be one of the reasons that the game has been in the top slot for three weeks in a row.

Other top sellers this week include Hasbro's RollerCoaster Tycoon (second place), a game that has been on PC Data's top ten list for nearly six months; Microsoft's Age of Empires II (third place); and Quake III Arena from Activision (fourth place). The rest of the list remains largely unchanged, with games like Frogger, Deer Hunter III, SimCity 3000, and Toy Story 2 Action Game populating more or less the same slots as last week.

The entire PC Data list is posted below, for your convenience.

  Rank / Title / Publisher / Price1 / Who Wants To Be A Millionaire / Disney / $192 / Roller Coaster Tycoon / Hasbro Interactive / $293 / Age of Empires II: Age Of Kings / Microsoft / $424 / Quake III Arena / Activision / $425 / Barbie Generation Girl Gotta Groove / Mattel Interactive / $306 / Toy Story 2 Action Game / Disney / $277 / Deer Hunter III / GT Interactive / $198 / Flight Simulator / Microsoft / $449 / SimCity 3000 / Electronic Arts / $4310 / Frogger / Hasbro Interactive / $20
