One of Microsoft's existing and "successful" franchises could be making the jump to free-to-play, if a recent job listing is anything to go by. DualShockers spotted a job requisition for a Technical Producer who would work on a project that blends "AAA quality" with service-based experiences, technology, and business models.

　　A desirable candidate for the job would have "deep experience" shipping free-to-play or other similar games. What's more, this person should understand the concept of "games as a service" and have familiarity with the intersection of experience, technology, and business.

　　The new game, presumably for Xbox 360 or Xbox One, will be "based on an existing, successful Microsoft Studios IP." This would potentially include franchises like Halo, Fable, and Forza, among others. Microsoft has not officially announced any plans to adapt any of these franchises for free-to-play, at least not yet.

　　The Technical Producer job is based at Microsoft's headquarters in Redmond, Washington, but the ad states this person will work with external developers across Microsoft's Xbox organization. Rare and Lionhead are potential candidates for new free-to-play games, while Microsoft's Lift London studio has multiple unannounced free-to-play games in the works that aim to "redefine what AAA represents."
