Microsoft has dropped the clock speed of the Nvidia Xbox GPU from 300MHZ to 250MHZ, as the company continues to tweak the performance statistics of the its next-generation console. The company feels that the drop in the clock speed for the Xbox graphics processor will have no appreciable effect on the Xbox graphics performance, particularly when coupled with the console's recently-implemented 733MHZ CPU.
According to Microsoft, the console is capable of raw polygon output of 125 million polygons per second.
