Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will receive another update to its Online mode next week. It'll finally add Survival mode, which was announced last year. Survival has players in teams of six competing towards five-match win streaks to earn rewards.
Konami detailed Survival in a blog post today, saying you'll have 10 chances a week to play the mode. However, if you own the Cloaked in Silence DLC, you can play the mode as much as your heart desires.
Those who don't own the DLC will be able to try out the maps included with the expansion through the new Survival mode. The Cloaked in Silence DLC costs $3.99 and features three new maps and Quiet as a playable character.
To "prepare you for Survival," Konami released the following video. It shows a player starting a match and then what it looks like when you win. We're not sure how that prepares you for the mode, but you can check it out for yourself in the video below.
Konami also posted some stats regarding the game's "CQC" (Close Quarters Combat) and "Setting Action and Throwing Action." The stats include things like the speed of restraining someone with CQC and escaping a CQC restrain. You can check them out in the table below.
Scout | Enforcer | Infiltrator | |

Time to Stun with CQC Restrain (sec) | 2.00 | 2.50 | 1.75 |

In recent Metal Gear Solid news, Solid Snake voice actor David Hayter claimed that Hideo Kojima and Konami tried to replace him for Metal Gear Solid 3, which released in 2004. He was eventually replaced by Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.
