BioWare announced Friday that it is working on the sequel to MDK for the Dreamcast. MDK2 will be published by Interplay for a fourth-quarter 1999 release on the Dreamcast.
Lead programmer Cameron Tofer gives the Dreamcast enthusiastic praise by saying, "The Dreamcast hardware gives us all of the features that we could ever want from a gaming system. Because of the Dreamcast we are able to take MDK2 further than we ever imagined."
BioWare says that the sequel will surpass the original and uses the company's Omen Engine. The Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-based BioWare's credits include Shattered Steel for the PC and the upcoming Baldur's Gate, both published by Interplay.
