Steam's winter sale is live, but that's not the only place you can save cash on PC games. Green Man Gaming has a winter sale of its own, dropping prices up to 75% on over 1,000 games, including some of the year's biggest hits. The deals run between now and January 12, with most of the games coming in the form of Steam codes. And if you enter promo code GMG12 at checkout, you'll save an additional 12%. Since any sale is only as good as the games that are discounted, let's take a look at what's available.
Some of the biggest recent games are already discounted to around half off. The ancient-Greece-set Assassin's Creed Odyssey is down to $30, while the apocalyptic multiplayer game Fallout 76 is on sale for $36. If creative--and often absurd--murders are up your alley, you'll want to pick up Hitman 2 for $38. And fighting game fans can grab SoulCalibur VI for $42.

Anyone who likes the relative simplicity of side-scrolling games can grab the devilishly challenging Cuphead for $15 or the painterly (and challenging) Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition for $10. If you missed out on some of the big games from early in the year, you can pick up Monster Hunter World for $35 or Far Cry 5 for $24.
Strategy fans can put their brains to work with Civilization VI or XCOM 2 for $13.50 each. Those who enjoy watching TV show-quality cut-scenes can grab Quantum Break for $10. And if you want to fight off Skaven hordes with your friends, consider picking up Warhammer: Vermintide 2 for $15.
That only scratches the surface; many more games are also on sale right now. You'll find more of them listed below, or you can check out all of the deals on GMG.
