If you haven't visited us each day this week, you may have missed some important news. So here's a recap of what was making headlines in the video game industry this week. The big Sega news this week was the announcement of the first two Sega-made Dreamcast titles - Godzilla and Sonic Adventure. While screenshots of Godzilla were released, all we saw regarding Sonic Adventure was a teaser poster that shows (what we think is) Sonic grinning at the camera in the darkness. Sonic's a launch title, while a release isn't known on Godzilla yet.Dreamcast Goes on

In other Dreamcast news, we've posted our complete interview with Sega of America president and COO Bernie Stolar, which has some surprising details on the machine. And, for those of you who scour the Net for DC screens, a word of warning about fake Dreamcast screens that have been making the rounds.

On the Sony front is PlayStation 2. Ken Kutaragi let a few details go on this anticipated game machine earlier this week in an interview with the web magazine EE Times. According to him, the company is hard at work on new graphics technologies that will be used in the system. Surely, this is good news for those players looking beyond even Dreamcast.

We spoke with David Hoffman, producer of THQ's WCW/NWO Revenge on the N64, and got the latest details on the game's features and progress. If you're a wrestling fan, you'll want to check it out.

Atari Games' latest arcade title is set to heat up the coin-op world later this fall. Vapor T-R-X is the name of this futuristic racing title, much in the same vein as Psygnosis' WipeOut XL. Screens are included in our full story.

If you're starved for info on the following games, this week we had new screens and information. So, if you missed them the first time, here they are:

And several UK developers have confirmed their Dreamcast plans. All the details are here.

Konami is bringing its runaway hit (in Japan, anyway) Beatmania to the PlayStation in September. Plus, Ascii's making a special controller specifically for the game. Now that's sweet! If you're a fan of Parappa and Bust A Move (or Bust A Groove, in the US), it's a must-have.

Are you an action-figure collector who loves video games or just a video game player that likes action figures? Well, either way, you're going to be happy to know that Crystal Dynamics has signed a licensing company to handle its Gex and Kain licenses. The company will be licensing the likenesses of its characters to different products, including action figures.

Finally, Natsume is planning to bring over several of Culture Brain's fighters. There are some new games on the horizon that, if you're a fan, you'll want to know about.

And that's it for this week. Have a good weekend and be back with us next week for plenty more news from the video game front. Later!
