Since Netflix has been producing Marvel series, fans have seen some of their favorite, ground-level heroes come to life: Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage. However, many have been wondering "Where's Iron Fist?" It's long been known that the character will get his own series, but no news on who will play the role, until now. It has been suggested that Games of Thrones actor Finn Jones may be playing the role.
Jones, who plays Ser Loras Tyrell on GoT, will take on the role of Danny Rand as the martial arts master in the fourth Marvel/Netflix collaboration, according to a report by EW. Neither Marvel nor Netflix have confirmed the casting news at this time. In addition to appearing in his own series, there's a good chance Iron Fist will also appear on the Luke Cage Netflix series as well, considering that the two characters are close friends and partners in the comics.
Iron Fist first appeared in 1974 in Marvel Premiere #15. The character is a martial arts master, which includes some supernatural elements to his fighting ability. He's also known for being a member of the team Heroes for Hire, with friend Luke Cage.
With Daredevil season two (which just got a new trailer) and Luke Cage coming out in 2016, expect Iron Fist in 2017.
