Production is slowly restarting on a variety of TV and movies that were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But even with some work beginning again, lengthy delays are expected for many productions that closed down in March. The latest show that won't be hitting its original premiere date is the Marvel series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
It's been reported by Entertainment Weekly that the Disney+ show won't now make its planned August premiere date. The series was absent from the streaming service's list of August shows, and EW's sources have subsequently confirmed that it has been delayed. It doesn't yet have a new premiere date.

Now Playing: 8 Marvel Theories For WandaVision, Falcon And Winter Soldier, Loki
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was filming in Prague when production was suspended. Earlier this month, it was reported that it had been given permission to resume by Czech authorities, but with the series now several months behind schedule, it's not surprising that we won't be seeing it next month.
The show will see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan resume their MCU roles, and the cast also includes Daniel Brühl as Baron Zemo, a character he played in 2015's Captain America: Civil War. In March, new footage was shown to attendees of a Disney shareholders meeting, which you can read about here.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is one of several Marvel shows on the way to Disney+. WandaVision will star Paul Bettany and Elizabeth Olson as Vision and the Scarlet Witch, while Loki sees Tom Hiddleston play Thor's villainous half-brother once more.
