Mafia 3 New Gameplay Video Showcases Simulation Option For Driving, Collision Damage And More-November 2024
Nov 22, 2024 4:31 PM

Mafia 3, the latest entry of the series developed by Hangar 13, will finally release next month on PC and consoles, and publisher 2K has been showing more of the game these past few days. One more gameplay video has been recently shared online, showcasing a rather nice driving option that should make fans of the previous entries of the series happy.

The new Mafia 3 gameplay video, shared by German website GameStar, showcases the simulation option for the game's driving mode, which makes driving feel more realistic. In this mode, cars seem to have more weight to them, like in previous entries of the series, and even speed seems more realistic. Additionally, the video also showcases collision damage. You can check out all this and more by going here.

Mafia 3 is set in a fictional version of New Orleans in 1968 and it will tackle issues like racism, trying to get players to think about such issues. A few months ago, Studio Head and Creative Director Haden Blackman revealed that the game will implement a feature which will elicit a response by the police when main character is in a place he shouldn't be, so racism will obviously impact the game outside of the narrative.

The behaviour of pedestrians and NPCs – certainly not everywhere throughout the game, but in large sections of it – there are places where if Lincoln looks out of place and seems out of place, people will react to that. There are places you can go that just being there is an offence and will elicit a police response. We aren’t so naïve to think that a single game could cure racism, but if we can get the player to think, ‘Why am I being treated differently here than in other parts of town?’ then I think we’ve done something worthwhile.

Mafia 3 launches on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next week, on October 7th, in all regions. We will keep you updated on the game as soon as more comes in on it, so stay tuned for all the latest news.
