It's never too early to get excited about the new football season. If you're thinking about picking up Madden NFL 20, there are a few different editions and pre-order bonuses to consider ahead of the game's release in early August. The standard edition will become available on August 2, while those who pre-ordered the Superstar and Ultimate Superstar editions can begin playing the game as of July 30.

　　Aside from early access (for those two editions), pre-order bonuses also include things like content for the very popular Ultimate Team mode and special abilities for the brand-new Face of the Franchise: QB1 mode that features college football. As usual, the PlayStation Store is offering a free Madden 20 PS4 theme with pre-orders. Plus, as an exclusive bonus, Walmart is also offering a digital code to unlock Patrick Mahomes (Madden 20's cover star) in Madden Ultimate Team; pre-order at GameStop, and you'll get Dallas Cowboys legends Michael Irvin, Troy Aikman, and Emmitt Smith.

Madden NFL 20 standard edition

The standard edition unlocks on the regular launch day--August 2--and it also includes the same choice of unique QB legend superstar ability.
