After a year of rapid growth in the console-controller market, Logitech has announced that it will be offering officially licensed Xbox 360 peripherals to consumers when the console launches later this year.
Logitech currently offers a number of Xbox, GameCube, PlayStation 2, PC, and PSP peripherals, including controllers, mice, keyboards, steering wheels, and communications headsets. Logitech has not officially announced what products it will be offering for the 360.
As gaming has increased in popularity, so has Logitech's profits. The company also announced that in financial year 2005, sales of its console-gaming product offerings grew by 172 percent.
Logitech was founded in 1981 in Apples, Switzerland. It employs more than 6,900 people around the world and earns more than 80 percent of its revenue from retail sales.
