LEGO Media International and Warner Bros. Consumer Products have announced an agreement to publish two children's games based on the Harry Potter series of fantasy novels by J.K. Rowling. The first product that will be released will be based on the first book in the series, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It will let kids build and play in a virtual toy box of LEGO elements based on the Harry Potter theme. Fans of the novels can role-play and re-create the stories found in the books, as well as create new scenarios.
According to LEGO Media, the interactive LEGO Creator games are directly related to the physical LEGO products, and they let children play in imaginary worlds both on- and offscreen. The first LEGO Creator Harry Potter game is scheduled for release in this fall.
