It's been a few years since the release of Tom Clancy's The Division, and the loot-based, post-apocalyptic shooter will return in a sequel that aims to capture the growing momentum of the original by adding even more content. Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will launch on March 15, 2019 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Notably, that PC release won't be available on Steam, instead opting for the Epic Games Store.
The sequel moves the setting from NYC to Washington, D.C. In terms of scale, it's a much larger game than the original, and it puts a greater focus on how player choice--such as giving civilians water and food rations--affects the in-game world. We also know that The Division 2 will introduce raids that support up to eight players. Developers have also put a greater emphasis on the endgame, which has been expanded for The Division 2 to include more missions, new specializations, and an additional Occupied Dark Zone. There will also be free DLC in the year after the game's release.
