Over the weekend, gamers took on the latest Lands of Lore title from Westwood Studios in the Lands of Lore III Marathon. The 23-year-old winner, Chris Reynoso, saved the kingdom of Gladstone on Sunday after playing the title for 14 hours and 15 minutes. He took away US$5000 in cash for his hard work and undoubtedly a long and well-needed nap.

　　"Lands of Lore III is the best game I've played in a long time," Reynoso said. "I loved playing it, and winning the marathon is just a bonus."

　　Second placed Josh Adams came close to winning by completing the game just 30 minutes after Reynoso. He took away a DVD package with movies worth over $450.00.

　　Other winners at the event took away prizes as well. The third place winner, Gilbert Lam walked away with a 16 MB Dynamic TNT nVidia Riva TNT card. Fifth placed, Jesse Sullivan listened to tunes on his new Diamond Rio PMP 300 MP3 player. And seven fifth place winners won copies of Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun, Nox, and Swords & Sorcery.
