Infogrames North America officially confirmed for GameSpot News that the company would publish Koudelka for the Sony PlayStation. SNK, which had originally planned to publish the role-playing title for the North American market, was not available to comment on why the publishing rights were handed to Infogrames North America.
SNK's subsidiary Sacnoth, which is made up of former Square development-team members, developed the game. In it, you play as a young witch named Koudelka Iassant, who visits the Nemeton convent when she hears a ghost call for help. Joining you will be a young man named Edward Blunkett and a priest named James O'Flaherty, who has been sent by the Vatican to fight evil monsters and unravel the secrets behind the convent.
Infogrames North America plans to ship Koudelka for the Sony PlayStation this June. We'll have more details next week.
