On Wednesday, Konami announced that it will release a USB keyboard for the PlayStation 2. Its typing software, Beatmania Dadada, will be released with the keyboard. The product is scheduled for a March 29 release for a price tag of 6,800 yen (about US$58) in Japan. Meanwhile, Konami currently plans to release the keyboard as a stand-alone product sometime this summer. The company plans to ship 300,000 units in the next fiscal year.
