Konami of Japan showed a demo of its dating simulation, Tokimeki Memorial for the Sony PlayStation2 at the recent Tokyo Game Show. The demo showed the use of the company's CG technology, called "real-time animation CG," which is similar to the cel-shading technique developers used in other titles such as Jet Set Radio. Players will be able to rotate the camera angles around the characters. Konami also plans to develop a more advanced version of the Emotion Voice System (EVS) using the voice-recognition device to let players converse with the game characters. The current EVS was featured in Tokimeki Memorial 2 for the PlayStation. In this game, characters can speak the names you give them.
