Konami of Japan announced that it will release its latest Bemani series on the Sony PlayStation2. Titles that are already in the lineup are DrumMania 2nd Mix, Guitar Freaks 3rd Mix, Keyboard Mania, and BeatMania II DX 3rd Style. Konami recently released DrumMania during the PS2 launch in early March and Guitar Freaks 2nd Mix Append Disc on the PS in February. Although some titles within the latest Bemani series such as Dance Dance Revolution 3rd Mix are still planned for the PS, Konami said we can expect to see future titles released on the PS2. Konami has not yet furnished release dates or pricing information on the upcoming PS2 Bemani series.
