OK, so it doesn't offer a multimillion-dollar payoff. But Beam Software is hosting the KKND2 beta lottery. The payoff for 50 winners? The opportunity to play the beta version of the company's upcoming real-time strategy game "into the ground."
Beam is signing up prospective beta testers at its site through Feb. 13. In order to participate, gamers must sport, at the minimum, a Pentium 133 with 16MB RAM, a 4X CD-ROM drive, and an SVGA graphics card with 2MB of memory.
The 50 winners/beta-test participants will be chosen at random from a list of those who enter the lottery.
