It will take the majority of gamers more than 10 hours to complete the Killzone: Shadow Fall single-player campaign, game director Steven Ter Heide has said.
Answering a batch of fan questions on the PlayStation Blog today about the upcoming PlayStation 4 game, Ter Heide said, "Killzone: Shadow Fall's campaign should last well over 10 hours for most gamers."
Ter Heide also confirmed that the campaign will not have a co-op mode or split-screen support whatsoever. A separate online co-op expansion pack will, however, be offered after launch.
Also in the Q&A, Ter Heide reiterated that Killzone: Shadow Fall will have dedicated servers for multiplayer. He also said that vehicles like Exoskeletons or Jetpacks will not be supported in multiplayer, at least not at launch.
"We wanted to ensure that player-created, custom Warzones work on all multiplayer maps, and the inclusion of vehicles would have introduced too many new variables and exceptions to guarantee this," he said.
In addition, Ter Heide confirmed that Killzone: Shadow Fall will feature 22 weapons launch, the majority of which can be "enhanced" through various attachments. He also said the DualShock 4's new touchpad will be used in single-player to select the mode the OWL drone is in. For multiplayer, the touchpad is used to bring up menus, he said.
Lastly, Ter Heide confirmed that there are currently no plans for any kind of connectivity between PlayStation Vita game Killzone: Mercenary and Killzone: Shadow Fall.
Killzone: Shadow Fall is a PS4 launch title, arriving on November 15 in North America and November 29 in Europe. For more, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
