Killing Eve To End After Season 4, But Multiple Spin-Offs Are Planned-October 2024
Oct 21, 2024 5:21 AM

The BBC's acclaimed murder-drama Killing Eve is coming to an end. The show, which stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer and is produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will end after its fourth season. However, fans of the show may be happy to learn multiple spin-offs are being planned.

Deadline reports that Killing Eve will begin production on season 4 in the UK and throughout Europe this summer, with the eight-episode final season expected to premiere in 2022. This is later than expected, as the pandemic caused the producers to shift their filming plans.

BBC America is now planning spin-offs, but there is no word yet on which characters might be featured or what the storylines could be. Deadline said it's "highly unlikely" that Comer or Oh would come back for a spin-off, however.

Oh said in a statement that working on Killing Eve was "one of my greatest experiences," while Comer said she is "forever grateful" for having the opportunity to star on the show.

She also teased that season 4 will be "one to remember."

Waller-Bridge is now working with Amazon on a number of projects, including a new version of Mr. and Mrs. Smith with Donald Glover. As for Comer, she's lined up to play Josephine in the Napoleon Bonaparte movie alongside Joaquin Phoenix. Oh will be seen next in the TV series Invincible and The Chair.
