The event will take place at Forbes Field, Topeka Air Industrial Park, 6700 SW Topeka Blvd., on Thursday, August 27, beginning at 11am with the Pokemon Carnival. At 12:00pm, that city's mayor will arrive and be greeted by skydivers and Pokemon toys descending from the sky.
Nintendo says "hundreds of small toy monsters will rain down on the city from 500 feet, ten skydivers (complete with smoke effects and streamers) will parachute from the sky, Topeka mayor Joan Wagnon will witness the invasion and surrender the city by officially changing the city's name to ToPikachu, kids will be the first to experience the Pokemon phenomenon at an interactive carnival."
