Actor Jack Black's production company Electric Dynamite will produce a remake of Wizard's Way, a British mockumentary about two friends on a crusade to save their favorite game of the same name after it's shut down.
According to Variety, Electric Dynamite acquired the rights for the movie shortly before its United States debut at the Slamdance Film Festival. In 2012, it won the Best Comedy Feature award at the London Independent Film Festival.
In the movie, a documentary crew follows friends Barry Tubbulb and Julian "Windows" Andrews, who together play an old massively multiplayer online role-playing game called Wizard's Way. The fictional game looks a little like the old Neverwinter Nights (1991). When they find out that the game has been shut down, they set out to bring it back to life and also find Tubbulb's in-game wife.
You can find a trailer for the movie on its official website.
