Imeron, manufacturer of the Intensor LX, announced today that holiday sales of the force-feedback chair tripled original expectations.
"Because this was an entirely new and unique product to the marketplace, when we launched the LX we were conservative in terms of sales predictions," said Imeron senior VP of sales and marketing Bill Beres. "We're delighted and inspired by the public's strong reaction to the Intensor LX."
The Intensor LX is the updated version of the original Intensor Chair, which featured a built-in sound system that mimicked real-life bumps and other force effects in supported games. The LX builds on the original Intensor by incorporating a more contoured design to the chair. The Intensor LX can be hooked up to any audio source, like TVs, VCRs, and DVD players, and it is available at a number of national retailers for a suggested price of US$179.
